Milestone Moment! Nanoradar Invited as Official Partner of PX4 Open-Source Flight Control Platform

2025-05-20

Abstract

Milestone Moment
Recently, Nanoradar officially joined the PX4 open-source flight control ecosystem as a Silver Member. This makes Nanoradar a partner of both major global drone open-source flight control platforms (APM & PX4). Its radar technology will integrate deeply into the open-source ecosystem, offering standardized, high-performance, low-barrier sensing solutions to accelerate drone innovation.

About PX4 Open-Source Flight Control Platform
Initiated by ETH Zurich in 2011 and later incorporated into the Linux Foundation’s Dronecode project in 2014, PX4 now boasts contributions from over 500 developers and 200+ industry leaders like Intel, Qualcomm, and Auterion. It supports diverse applications, from consumer drones to industrial robots, with millions of devices worldwide relying on PX4 for autonomous flight.

Seamless Integration, Plug-and-Play
Zero Development: Compatible with PX4 hardware (e.g., Pixhawk 4, Cube Orange) via UART/CAN, no extra drivers needed.
Standardized Protocols: Fully supports MAVLink and uORB, enabling direct data fusion for obstacle avoidance and altitude control.
Upgrade-Proof: Ensures compatibility with PX4 firmware updates, eliminating "upgrade failures."

Nanoradar’s Drone Radar Portfolio
For drones, Nanoradar offers 24GHz, 77GHz, and 80GHz millimeter-wave radars with refresh rates of 50-500Hz, ranges from 30m to 3,000m+, and precision up to ±0.02m. Widely used in agriculture, logistics, firefighting, and more, these products are sold in 20+ countries, with 100,000 units validated in real-world applications.
